Geerten en Berna van den Brink

At the end of 2025, we hope to be sent by our church and ECM to Guadix in southern Spain to be His witnesses, according to the command of Jesus Himself. Although it once seemed that Geerten would focus his life on the business world, everything changed when God made it clear to him in 2019 that He had a different plan for his life. His life and heart were completely transformed. He developed a deep compassion for everyone who does not yet know Jesus, and it became his great desire to live for the Kingdom of God with everything he has. To be part of God's mission: that He will be worshipped throughout the whole world.

For a long time, it seemed that Geerten would go to Spain alone, but that has now changed from 1 to 4, and we now hope to leave for Spain as a family. In addition to Berna’s long-standing desire to emigrate, she also developed a longing to become actively involved in God’s Kingdom and to share the Gospel with others. After a visit to Guadix, it became clear to Berna as well: this is the place where we as a family may live for the glory of God.

God has given us both a deep love for the Spanish people, and especially for Guadix and its surroundings. We believe that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few—a reality that also applies to Guadix. We will become part of a church—Comunidad Vida.
